Inside the Spikes: NC program gets a steal with Daniels
Published by
Brevard College recently introduced Dr. Jack Daniels as its new cross country and track & field coach. The program has had its fair share of coaches in the last three seasons. Daniels replaces James Galloway. Galloway's tenure only lasted two seasons. Prior to Galloway, Ken Goglas served as the head coach for one season. Daniels brings a lot to the table for BC. He’s coached 30 individual DIII NCAA National Champions, eight NCAA National Team Champions and 130 All-Americans. Daniels is also an author and speaker. He’s a student of the sport as well, having earned his PhD in Exercise Physiology at Wisconsin-Madison. Brevard College definitely got a steal on this guy. Daniels has his work cut out for him. There is no doubt in my mind though; he is the man to reconstruct the program. It will be interesting to see how long he stays with the program. Brevard College Athletics have struggled financially in the last decade. About Brevard College….
