George Mason Senior David Verburg shattered both a Mason school record and meet record in the 500m, winning the event in a time of 1:01.29. He bested the Mason school record by .13 seconds, which was previously held by Reggie Henderson and had stood since 1983. The meet record was owned by Quentin Bowens of Seton Hall who ran a time of 1:02.07 in 2005.
